Can you feel it? Even though there still is a white blanket of snow on the ground Spring is coming! The seasonal change is all around us. The days are getting longer. Soon crocus, daffodils and tulips will arise from their long winter’s sleep. Has anyone seen a robin yet? With spring comes the most celebrated day of the year in the Christian’s life, Easter.
At Bethel we are looking forward to Easter and preparing for the families God will bring our way. “Discover Hope This Easter” is the message we want to share with our friends, families and community. We all know people who need hope–don’t we? We also know that hope placed in Jesus will not disappoint us. Let’s all be prepared for a great Easter 2010. One way is to personally set aside some time to focus on Jesus by praying and reading Scripture. To help, here is a link for a daily reading plan from now to Easter. Also, let’s begin now to pray specifically for this special time when seekers are open to the hope of Jesus.
Each day’s reading consists of a passage from the Gospels and when completed you’ll read the entire account of Jesus’ life, ministry, death, and resurrection. There’s a reading for each day except for Sundays, which you can use to reflect on the previous week’s reading (or get caught up if you’ve fallen behind).
Reading the plan is simple. Just click here and start reading! Check that page each day; the daily reading updates automatically. (You might wish to bookmark that page in your browser to make it easy to return to each day’s reading.)
Let’s believe this Easter to be the greatest yet.

Good job! I liked the slide show too, but the pictures was a little bit small.
Sorry Lyle, that just happens to be the size for this page. You can see a larger one on the ER page or go to the “Welcome to Bethel” tab and click on the “Bethel Pictures”. There you can see each picture individually and very large when you click on them.
