J.A.M. Club: Transformed
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2
Everyone would like to begin a new year having their life transformed in one way or another. Well, in J.A.M. Club kids’ church, we are learning that Jesus is the “Ultimate Transformer.” Everywhere He went, lives were changed. Every person he touched was TRANSFORMED by His Almighty Power! It wasn’t a matter of whether or not someone would be TRANSFORMED, but how they would be TRANSFORMED.
In this curriculum series, the kids are led by Sal Iva (we call her “Sally”) on her wacky TV talk show. By the miracle of modern technology (or just our crazy creative ideas) she is able to sit down and speak with Bible characters who have come face to face with Jesus and had their lives completely TRANSFORMED.
From Lazarus to the Rich Young Ruler, from Thomas to the blind beggar—Sal Iva talks to the folks who give all the amazing details about their encounters with Jesus. Through this journey, the children discover that if they will allow Jesus to lead and guide their lives, they too will be completely TRANSFORMED!
This Week’s Main Focus: God has the power to transform anyone!
Let the change begin! That’s right! Over the next 10 weeks, you can be totally, radically, 100 percent TRANSFORMED! You don’t have to stay the way you are—but you can be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind—by the POWER OF GOD! And I’m not just talking about transforming your bad breath into minty fresh breath! We’re talking real, life changing change! Even better than turning plain milk into ice cream!
TRANSFORMED! That’s what YOU are when Jesus shows up in your life! The words that Jesus says are LIFE GIVING! They are LIFE CHANGING! They can make anyone TRANSFORMED!
Jesus does miracles, He can turn around anything and anyone for His glory—even a case that seems hopeless and beyond help! That’s God’s specialty: turning around (transforming) impossible situations into new and stupendous miracles! It was just one sentence, just one moment with Jesus that made all the difference in the widow’s son’s life. Do you think it is too late for someone you know to change? Do you have a problem that seems too far gone to ever be different? —with Jesus, it’s never too late for God to show up and turn the whole thing around. Jesus is the King of Kings, and He can transform anything!
We pray you and your children will be radically changed and made different as you join Sal Iva and her friends, Sven & Glen, on an amazing journey to be ”TRANSFORMED.”
