“Well done” how often do you take the time to affirm those around you for the job they do? Do you catch your kids doing something good and tell them, “Well done”?
How about your spouse? Do your regularly tell him or her, “Well done”? What about the workers who serve alongside of you in ministry, or your pastor, or those who have left their families and friends and have traveled to the far side of the globe? Do you regularly tell them, “Well done”?
The person who regularly affirms others is a powerful individual. The power of affirmation can cause a child to succeed rather than fail. Countless stories of successful leaders are told specifying one certain affirming person in someone’s life who inspired that someone to succeed.
Affirmation is the power to put faith, belief, and hope into others’ lives.
Why not make it a point to affirm other people? Affirm children when their actions are good. Affirm your spouse for the good things he or she does. Affirm leaders around you who are making a difference.
Some day I hope you and I both will be affirmed by the One who sees and knows all. I hope we will hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of the Lord” (Matthew 25:23).
Editor note:I hope all of you feel affirmed for all the things you do. If you would like, leave a comment affirming someone. Let’s see how many lives we can inspire..
