Jesus In The Right Place
One evening a father sat relaxing in his easy chair while reading the paper. His little 6 year old daughter played whimsically around the room. As she played, she would consistently be climbing onto the side of the chair, crawling around his ankles, and asking all sorts of questions like little girls do.
Simply searching for a few moments of quietness, the father saw a picture of a world map. He asked his daughter to fetch a pair of scissors. After receiving the pair of scissors, the father creatively cut the picture of the world map into many different pieces of varying size and shape. Then he proudly presented his little girl with a challenge to see if she could put the puzzle back together.
Away she scampered, down the hallway and into her room.
It seemed that in no time at all there she was standing directly in front of him again. Without even raising his glance from the paper he asked, “Aren’t you going to put the puzzle together?”
With a thrill of excitement in her voice she exclaimed, “I did it! I did it! See?”
As he lifted his head, he found the world carefully taped back together exactly as it should be.
“Darling, how did you get the world put together so quickly?” he asked.
“Oh, it was easy,” she replied. “There was a picture of Jesus on the back. So, I just put Jesus together. I knew that when Jesus was in the right place, then the world would be the way it should be.”
This is a powerful message for us. So often our world seems torn apart or all mixed up. The answer is for each of us to put Jesus back in His rightful place! Make Him Lord of our lives. Make Him ruler of our decisions. Allow Him full access from the thrones of our hearts. When He is in His rightful place, all else will be as it should be.
